Welcome to Manju George's Page

Manju George

Thank you for visiting my personal page. Colorectal Cancer and screening awareness is very important to me. I was diagnosed with Stage 3 rectal cancer at the age of 44, in 2017. I have no family history of cancer or other risk factors and eat well and lead an active life. Lack of awareness that colorectal cancer can affect younger people delayed my diagnosis. Let that not be your case.

Raising awareness to colon and rectal cancer begins with being comfortable with words such as colon, rectum, poop, blood in poop etc. Embarrassing and uncomfortable as these maybe, knowing and being aware of the parts of our bodies and signals they send could save lives.

Please watch and share the videos below to raise awareness! I am an Empowered Patient Leader at Colontown (Colontown.org), a Facebook based colorectal cancer support group. Featured in the video below is fellow Colontown Leader, Lari Johnston, who is battling Stage 4 rectal cancer.

Together we can help encourage people to get screened and save lives to Leave Colorectal Cancer Behind!

Thank you for your generous support! And come run with me in your boxer underwear on August 19th!
